Glenn M. Bowman, Chairman of the Board
Glenn M. Bowman was elected to the Board of Directors of Alliance in September 2007. Mr. Bowman has served as an active member of Alliance’s Board of Advisors since 2003. Mr. Bowman is a partner with Capital Canada Limited since 2003. Formerly he was the President and Director of investment bank Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin Canada, the Toronto office of Houlihan Lokey from 1996 to 2003. At Houlihan Lokey, he was responsible for managing the Canadian operations including new business and staff development. At Capital Canada Limited, Mr. Bowman’s responsibilities include investment banking, financial advisory work, and financial restructuring services. He specializes in advising clients on acquisitions and divestitures – covering a broad array of industries from owner-managed businesses to multinational companies – private debt and equity financings, financial restructurings, business and securities valuations, and fairness opinions. In addition, Mr. Bowman has acted as an arbitrator and/or mediator and on numerous occasions, he has appeared as an expert witness in many arbitration and court proceedings. He is a frequent speaker and published author in these areas.
Mr. Bowman began his career at Coopers & Lybrand where he specialized in the firm’s business valuation practice. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and a Chartered Business Valuator. Mr. Bowman was a member of the Accounting Standards Board of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants which has the authority of setting new financial accounting and reporting standards. Mr. Bowman is a graduate of the University of Toronto.

Bruce Light, Director
Bruce Light is President of Light and Associates Ltd., a management-consulting firm. For over 20 years, Light and Associates Ltd., has provided professional services in human resources and employee relations including mergers and acquisitions, compensation and personnel policy, organization management, collective bargaining, dispute resolution and administration in both the public and private sector. Mr. Light graduated from McGill Law School in 1967. Most recently, Mr. Light was a member of the board of directors of PC Docs Group International Inc.

Benjamin Swirsky
GBenjamin Swirsky was the Chairman of the Board of Alliance from February, 2000 until his retirement from the board in September of 2007. Mr. Swirsky remains an active member of the Alliance’s Board of Advisors. Mr. Swirsky also served as the Chairman of PC Docs Group International Inc. from August 1998 to July 1999. Previous Executive appointments include: President and CEO of Slater Steel Inc. 1993 – 1997, President and CEO of Horsham Properties Inc., 1990-1992, President and CEO of Bramalea Limited, 1985-1990, Senior Partner and Member of the Executive Committee of Peat Marwick Mitchell, Chartered Accountants, 1971-1978. Mr. Swirsky is a past director of several public companies including The Four Seasons Hotels Inc. and CamVec Inc. In addition to Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, Mr. Swirsky holds an LL.B from Queen’s University Law School (1968)

Ian Bandeen
Ian Bandeen is Chairman and Co-Founder of the CNQ – Canadian Trading and Quotation System Inc. Since November 1999, Ian Bandeen has been President & CEO of Associated Assets Acquisition Inc., a company that specializes in the acquisition and refinancing of financial assets. This company has been involved in more than $4 billion of transactions. Prior to November 1999, Mr. Bandeen spent 13 years as an investment banker focusing on the Canadian securitization markets and, from March 1990 to October 1999, Mr. Bandeen was Managing Director and Global Head, Securitization & Structured Finance at BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. In addition to being involved with a number of new Internet-related businesses, Mr. Bandeen is a member of the board of directors of WirelessMoney.com. In addition, he is a director of John P. Robarts Research Institute, acting as Chairman of its Commercialization Committee. Mr. Bandeen is also a trustee of the S.M. Blair Family Foundation. In addition to a BA (Honours) from Queens University at Kingston, Mr. Bandeen received an LLB and a BCL from McGill University. Having been admitted to the Bar in 1987, Mr. Bandeen remains a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
