Announce Strategic Relationship

Edmonton/Toronto, September 11, 2001 - Intuit Canada Limited and Alliance Financing Group Inc. announced today a strategic relationship that will benefit small business owners in Canada, by expanding their lease and loan financing options.

Intuit (NASDAQ symbol "INTU") is a leading developer of small business and personal financial software and solutions. Alliance Financing (TSX-V symbol "AFG") provides financing solutions for small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Under the arrangement, Alliance Financing will power Intuit's e-lease/loan Financing Service for Canadian users of QuickBooks® and QuickBooks® Pro. The service will offer a collection of essential financial products, such as loans, lines of credit, equipment leases, factoring and other working capital solutions online to Intuit's small business customers.

Intuit's Manager of Connected Services for QuickBooks, Randy Simpson, says the arrangement gives QuickBooks customers a competitive edge. "In order to grow and compete, small business owners need access to money and equipment," he says. "Those can be essential factors in taking business from 'survive' to 'thrive'. Intuit's goal is to help them achieve that success. Our association with Alliance now means that small businesses that use QuickBooks will have direct online access to a valuable business tool."

Alliance Financing acts as an aggregator of the financing products of a multitude of best-of-breed partners including lessors, commercial finance companies and Canadian financial institutions.
