Security: Protection of Your Information
Wherever possible, we endeavor to ensure that our security measures meet or exceed industry best practices standards in order to protect your commercial and personal information. Several layers of state-of-the-art security and monitoring are utilized to prevent unauthorized access to our systems and data, ensure 24/7 availability of applications and minimize risk from disaster.
We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Technology to ensure that your credit application information cannot be accessed during transmission from your computer to our servers over the internet. We also use SSL authentication technology to confirm the identity of both the computer sending, and the computer receiving your application information. We also use an Entrust.net Secure Server digital ID to encrypt data. While you are on a secure page on our Web site, such as one of our credit application pages, the lock icon on the bottom of your Web browsers (if you use Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) will show as “locked”. Clicking on this lock icon will give you additional information regarding the security of the page. We also use technical and physical security measures to prevent unauthorized access to any data stored on our secure servers.
We also perform background checks, including credit checks on all of our employees. Software code and application audit checks are in place to monitor employee activities. User access to customer data is limited based on each employee’s needs in order to perform their specific job functions.
